Team
building is
an important aspect of developing any business,
large or small. It is essential
for work colleagues to understand each other
and communicate well with one another in
order that the business may run smoothly
and successfully. The challenges set through
external events can build their confidence
in themselves and each other as part of
the team. External events also enable employers
to analyze existing employees and new recruits
during the challenges and provide new employees
with an opportunity to fit into a team in
a different environment.
We
have three unique team building events available.
It is improbable that your
team members have ever tried either
circus skills or theatrical
& media make-up skills, consequently
the challenges set will be equally difficult
for all, as ideally, for team building purposes,
work colleagues should all start on the
same level.
Alternatively, why not bring
all your staff back to the school days with
traditional games
and competitions. Even if they
excelled at them all those years ago we
are sure each team member will find them
equally challenging now.
Our team building events are
specially designed to incorporate and develop
management, delegation
and communication skills. All
involve problem solving challenges to culminate
in a final goal.
They are all fully
mobile, meaning they can be brought
to your company premises or a designated
venue where you are holding your training
programme or conference, anywhere in the
UK. All we require is adequate space.
At present we cater for up
to 60 adults per
event. However, please do not
hesitate to contact us for larger groups
as they can be catered for.
We will create a comfortable
and friendly environment for you and your
employees and guarantee professional training,
tuition and guidance throughout your day.
Team
building exercises should always be fun
and we promise you'll have an enjoyable
day that will be the talk of your company
for years to come!
We
can also provide Products
such as circus skills equipment.

WHY CIRCUS
SKILLS?
Circus skills are a great
form of exercise with a multitude
of advantages, developing skills
such as hand-eye co-ordination,
self motivation and self discipline.
Additionally, they necessitate the
setting of goals, the development
of problem solving techniques and
team building skills. Finally, they
require a whole lot of determination
and hard work individually and as
a group.
Taking part in a circus activities
event is great fun for work colleagues.
It is a genuine learning experience
where participants are required
to listen, watch, copy, adapt, initiate,
assist, communicate and develop
in order to achieve a final goal.
These important skills will enable
colleagues to understand one another
better and develop stronger mutual
support and respect for each other.
There are a multitude of circus
skills to choose from so the event
is usually organised with Workshop
1 focusing on ball, ring and
club juggling as we consider this
to be the back bone of all circus
skills. Workshop 2 concentrates
on stilt walking (hand held and
hands free) and Workshop 3
is adapted according to each groups
desires. There are plenty of skills
to choose from including devil sticks,
diabolos, hula hoops, poi, ribbons,
spinning plate, balancing, rolla
bola, fun wheels and if your team
wants to have a real laugh pom poms
too!
The teams are then required to
put together a 10 minute performance
and the day is concluded with a
hilarious show and Prize Giving
Ceremony!

THEATRICAL &
MEDIA MAKE-UP EVENT
|
|
|
WHY THEATRICAL
& MEDIA MAKE-UP SKILLS?
Theatrical & Media Make-up skills
are highly challenging to all participants
as the techniques used are completely
different to those used for every
day make-up. They are much more complicated
and elaborate and use materials that
most people haven't used before. This
means that male and female participants
all start at the same level. Additionally,
they require the use of the imagination
and artistic talent and require patience
and co-operation. Participants work
in pairs and at close proximity so
they need to show respect and understanding
for each other. Finally, all participants
need to be self motivated and self
disciplined in order to achieve the
required effect in a limited time
schedule.
Taking part in a theatrical &
media make-up event can be highly
enjoyable for work collegues as they
get themselves in and then out of
a sticky mess! It is highly educational
and participants must be attentive
throughout. Initially, they must work
with partners but ultimately with
the entire team to achieve the final
goal set.
There are a vast range of materials
and techniques used in the Industry
today, so for an event we specialize
in the gruesome ones to make it all
the more fun. The event begins with
a Demonstration of techniques
including bruising, cuts and wounds,
grazes and burns. Collegues then pair
off and work on each other on chosen
techniques throughout Workshops
1 & 2. In the afternoon team
members come together to plan a short
sketch incorporating a range of make-up
techniques. Workshop 3 sees
them creating these effects, followed
by a rehearsal in which the teams
must put their plans into action in
preparation for their final performance.
The day is concluded with an expressive
show and Prize Giving Ceremony!

WHY COMPETITIVE
SKILLS?
This event is the perfect excuse for
leaving all adult responsibilities
behind for the day and focusing on
competitive fun where participants
discover their and each others pros
and cons in a positive environment.
Competitions set out range from simple
to complex, physical to mental and
teams must plan strategies to reach
success. Team members must also unite
using chants and movement routines
to create a visual logo with a distinct
and lasting impression. They must
provide encouragement to build individual
and the whole teams confidence. Points
are of utmost importance and together
participants must strive to reach
the highest score and ultimately win
the 1st prize.
Initially, team members will be involved
in a Team Building Exercise,
where they will have to create a mascot
and personalized routine that they
will use throughout the day to give
them winning power. The Competitions
are run in three separate sessions
throughout the day with different
themes including puzzles, garden board
games and fun day games such as the
sack race, wheel barrow race, piggy
back race, leap frog race, egg and
spoon race, three legged race, tug
a war, relay, balloon chase and our
very own stuff your boss and peg challenges!
The day is completed with a Prize
Giving Ceremony. The winning team
receive a super hamper containing
a selection of alcoholic beverages
and chocolates to really make them
feel like all the hard work was worth
it, while runners up win their very
own consolation prize. Wait and see
what it is! We're not so sure anybody
would want to receive this consolation
prize!!!
